Here are some of the sketches i did to figure out what kind of layout i want for the room. The next stage will be blocking these out to get a better understanding of how the room will look in 3d.

Think Colours and Style

As for the style of the room, after looking at different types of billiards rooms and gentlemens rooms i have decided to exagerate the masculinity of the room by using alot of woods and leathers along with boastfull elements such as gold and carvings.






As for colours, i think a green, red and brown palette will suit the room. The green due to the similarity with the board game, the brown for the wood and the red to compliment the green and brown.

Green for Go

Fmp has already started and alot of progress had been made towards it however i figure its time for the rest of the world to get involved so here it is. My FMP revolves around the world of cluedo. The objective in mind is to develope an environement that represents one of the iconic rooms within cluedo the board game. Since its going to be a singular room, i have decided to add extra elements from other rooms into it to provide a rich atmosphere. The room in mind is the billiards room, its going to be an area for entertainment and general coversation. I have no specific time period for it but i would like it to represent a time somewhere between the 1900's to 1960's.



As for a feel for the room, i've taken influence from films such as shutter island which reprent the kind of time period i hope to achieve. The room will be presented as a murder scene that has freshly taken place with clues to form some suggestions.
